I was preparing to buy two donuts, and my parents mentioned a terrific donut they had from there a few days before when the employee began arguing with them saying the store doesn't make that kind. When they told her that yes, they bought them at the Donut Friar, and they were delicious she proceeded to hostilely argue with them for a couple minutes about how there's no donut there like that. In the area we only knew about Donut Friar, and they got said donuts out of a Donut Friar box... it can't be more conclusive than that. We walked out without buying anything because that is no way to talk to customers.
Who doesn't love a good donut? who doesn't love a fresh donut? Who doesn't love a fresh donut at any time during the day? Highly recommended. It is located in The Village shops, which is a cool place to meander anyways, so take your time to grab a cake donut. Chocolate frosting my favorite. They only take cash, but do have an ATM located in the store as well. The coffee mugs are neat as well. Enjoy!
Customer service reps should NEVER argue with customers, especially kind customers. Have some tact and move on in such conversations because you lost sales today and in the future when we vacation here again.
Best donuts ever! They have a large variety of your classic donuts made fresh everyday. They also serve hot drinks. We tried the Chia latte and they did a superb job of getting the ratio of milk to Chia. Also so you know they are a cash only business so be prepared. They are also off of the main Street with some outside seating.
My family has been visiting this place since I was little. I have some amazing memories here, and what's best of all? The quality of this place hasn't gone down a bit with time. The donuts are just as incredible now as they were when I was a tiny girl... though I've moved from having the ones with rainbow sprinkles to chocolate glazed cake. Now I'm starting the tradition over by taking my kids here. They both wanted the rainbow sprinkles.
The Donut Friar was a pleasant surprise. The donuts here have a wonderful balance of flavors with a fresh homemade taste. It's quite evident someone took time to craft a well made product. The Bavarian cream donuts taste like biting into a cloud and I highly recommend a visit here for anyone looking for a great donut.
Amazing donuts, but the customer service experience was horrible. Donut Friar has been a long-standing tradition with my family, and on this last trip I was extremely disappointed with a very rude female employee (working around noon on Dec. 20) who began arguing with my parents about the donuts they bought there earlier this week.
