Good site, though large and close enough the the trailhead that it gets busy. Good river access and plenty of tent pads.
My favorite camp site of the Smokies
This is a beautiful camp site ! Very relaxing and unique. You take a 5mile hike to your site and on the way see some Appalachian history. Those who want to back country camp should have above average camping experience. This is a heavily bear populated area and you should be cautious of what fregrent items you bring (i.e food, hygine). If you think your ready for your trip , go get your back country camping on !!
