This was one of the most awesome outdoor experiences I've had outside of the Rocky Mountains! The hiking trail is just off the parking area. (Get there EARLY). The hike is a nice natural trail... A little rough in spots for non-outdoorsy people or those not in average shape, but safe. It takes longer to hike than most reviews I had read, but well worth it! Breathtaking!! Great photo and video ops!

be prepared for a fun hiking trip! it was awesome! loved being out in the woods and going up the trail to the awesome waterfall! it's definitely a place you need to check out! the parking is scary but its there! lol just be there to have fun and open mind of excitement. also bring your cross trainers!

Parking is plenty, but be ready to park down the road and off to the side. At least there are plenty of options!

I chose this hike because I have a 7 year old. Me and my husband are not in shape and are about 50-60 lbs over weight, my son is very tiny and full of energy. We did not have a problem doing this hike, it can be a little strenuous at times. We are not very active at all and we took 3 breaks about 3-5 minutes each because our son was complaining. You will need some good tennis shoes that are slip resistant. The path is not paved and has a lot of roots/holes in it, they also do not have railings so be sure to hold tight to your young ones. They also do not have any trash cans on the way so you may want to bring a bag to put your trash in. You can play in the rocks and under the fall itself. The waterfall is beautiful and we thoroughly enjpyed ourselves, we will be doing it again. It took us about 1 hr and 10 minutes to get to the fall and about 30-40 minutes to get back down. We spent about an hour at the fall. I hope this helps you make your decision.

SO WORTH THE DRIVE! I'd choose this hike over Cades Cove any day! Such a beaitiful hike!
