THANK YOU ZODERS FOR A WONDERFUL HONEYMOON
Located right on the strip as soon as u get into Gatlinburg. Super clean, nice rooms. Very friendly service and a cool indoor pool with a waterfall. Would definitely recommend.
Our room smelled like mold and mildew. The carpet was disgusting. The ceiling was coming apart and the AC unit was full of bugs, spiderwebs and eggs of some sort. We were completely off put and cannot believe someone would charge anyone for those accommodations. The location is walking distance from downtown which is great. The river running through the property and surrounding area is nice. This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation.
A nice, simple clean family oriented hotel with a lot of amenities. Simple breakfast, wine and cheese at 5pm and cookies and milk at 8pm. Great pool area with hot tub and kiddie pool. Raquet ball court and a decent weight room complete with locker room. Several room choices including suites...some with a gas fireplace. Parking adequate but need to check if bringing several cars as it can be tight.
The only reason I can even give a 1 star is that the front desk worked with us and gave us a refund for the second night because my husband's back stove up and he was in agony from sleeping on the hard bed. First, we were extremely disappointed as this hotel was nothing like we expected. In my opinion the pictures must have been taken quite a few years ago as everything was run down. We couldn't even get in our room without slamming our whole body against the door! We stayed in room 225 and even though the door opened easily from the inside it was like breaking into a prison to even get in our room. There was an iron imprint and soiled spots on the floor, the bathing area was small and the lights were dim. Everything looked pretty run down. We don't drink so we didn't go in for the wine and cheese so I can't comment on that, but the cookies and milk...well that night we drove up to the area that is suppose to be for breakfast and the wine and cheese, milk and cookies. We walk through the cigarette smoke of two employees and walk into what smelled like a locker room. The exercise room is in the eating area. No wall, window, etc and it smells horrid. Finally one of the employees who was outside smoking comes in hands us cookies and pours us a small cup of milk. We go back to our room because the smell was so bad. We promptly dropped a cookie trying to kick the door open. I tried heating some water in the microwave to fix tea when the microwave began popping and sounding like it was breaking apart, then we smelled smoke, so don't use the microwave in room 225. Once we went to bed trying to get comfortable in a bed that that as hard and dipped in spots was a nightmare. Parking was atrocious, small parking lot that was hard to maneuver. There is no way people can come in and go out at the same time. It needs a larger parking area. I read reviews that the staff was friendly. The staff didn't even speak to us. I'm not sure if they had all taken a vow of silence when we were there but this was not the same staff we read about. My husband is a disabled vet and we hardly ever get to go off. We were so looking forward to this and Zoder's Inn was a over priced major disappointment.
